"Our planet is still full of wonders. As we explore them, so we gain not only understanding, but power. It's not just the future of the whale that today lies in our hands: it's the survival of the natural world in all parts of the living planet. We can now destroy or we can cherish. The choice is ours." - David Attenborough

These were the final words spoken in the TV series we just watched, called "Planet Earth." Sadly, our planet is not what it used to be. There used to be lots more animals back when our planet was happier and healthier.

During the series, "Planet Earth" talked about something called Global Warming. In this Web Quest, your job will to be to find out about what this "Global Warming" is, and how it is affecting our planet Earth and some of the animals that live on it. There are lots of animals on our planet that are near extinction because of what is happening to our planet. That means they will die out and we will never see them again! Your goal will to be to create a poster that shows your classmates how much you know about Global Warming and its effects on animals. You will decide on a really cool animal that you like, and then figure out what kinds of effects Global Warming is having on that animal! The choice is yours, and you may work in pairs on this assignment.
